WriteHive’s Annual Convention 2021 and Some Updates

Oooh, boy, the last time I updated was a while back. Like, pre-covid. A lot has happened since then—A LOT. I won’t go into it all now. I’ll just try to hit the highlights.

For the last couple of months, I’ve been volunteering with WriteHive, a non-profit specializing in bringing writing resources and to everyone for free.

Part of the volunteering has been helping out with their Annual Convention. I’ve gotten to moderate some fantastic panels and then see even more through the editing process. (I’m reaching back to my production days, cracking my knuckles, and actually doing some video and audio editing.) This FREE conference is being held April 16-18 and will feature over 60 panels, workshops, and presentations on all things writing. Guests include Ayana Gray, Eric Smith, Hannah Kates, Diana Pho, Gabino Iglesias, and many, many more.

I highly suggest everyone sign up and participate. It’s going to be amazing. You can find out more information and sign up at WriteHiveCon.org.

As far as other updates… I’m learning to play drums, I’m actively planning a new blog series, my lgbtqia+ punk sci-fi ONE NIGHT ONLY! LIVE AT THE INTERNATIONAL SPACE-STATION, IT’S PLANET CLAIRE is completed and in the publisher-finding process, and, oh yeah, DAWN OF THE BETRAYERS HAS A NEW HOME!!!!!

That’s right, my fantasy novel that has gone through so many ups and downs has finally found a new, wonderful home at Inked in Gray. I couldn’t be happier, and the team there is incredible. I’m in the editing process now and will let you know when I have more information on a release date.

So very much more happened over the last year, but now is not the time. I do promise to be more active on here and post regularly. But for now, I’ll leave you with this: Make sure to drink water. Staying hydrated is important, dammit!
